Designed for Nikon DX-format DSLR cameras, the AF-S DX NIKKOR 17-55mm F/2.8G IF-ED delivers a constant F/2.8 aperture throughout its 3.2x zoom range. The optical layout incorporates aspherical elements and ED glass to ensure high resolution and excellent contrast. A rubber-sealed, dust- and waterproof mount improves resistance to the elements. Autofocus is driven by Nikon's Silent Wave Motor for ultra-high-speed, highly accurate and very quiet AF performance. The lens also includes an M/A switch for instant, on-the-fly switching between autofocus and manual control, and is optimized for Nikon digital SLR use.
