Compatibility and important check: This unit only works with Mercedes-Benz vehicles equipped with the NTG4.5/4.7 system. Confirm your car uses NTG4.5/4.7 before ordering — it is NOT compatible with NTG4.0/5.0 systems. (Examples of incompatible NTG4.0 cars: C class 2008-2010 and E class 2009-2010.) Pre-purchase note: Your factory radio must have an AUX option because audio from this interface routes through the AUX channel. The module connects to your original CD head unit using the supplied wiring. After installation you retain the factory system while gaining additional features: wireless and wired Apple CarPlay, wireless and wired Android Auto, MirrorLink, Navigation, YouTube/video viewing, TV news, photo display, and voice control (Siri and Google “OK”) so you can keep your hands on the wheel. Camera and controls support: Works with factory original reverse camera and parking sensors. Also compatible with aftermarket reverse cameras and 360º camera systems. Front-view DVR cameras with CVBS output are supported. Steering wheel control support is limited to the voice control button, Tel button, and voice volume “+” and “-” buttons — other steering buttons are not supported. To toggle between the factory radio and the CarPlay system, long press the "menu" button on the car knob. Installation guidance: The decoder connects to the original wiring and requires removing the dashboard to access the CD host. Do not cut or damage factory wiring. Do not finalize mounting until you have tested all functions and confirmed proper operation in your vehicle.
