The attachment mounts on the front of your existing lens and screws into the camera’s filter accessory threads using the supplied stepping ring (49-58mm). Optical design: Coated optics maximize image transmission and minimize distortion for use day or night. The unit preserves all camera functions while providing the additional 0.5x wide-angle field. Autofocus: Continues to use the camera’s autofocus system. Macro operation: Engage macro by unscrewing the front lens assembly and using the section labeled Macro with your existing camera lens. Filter compatibility and contents: Accepts 82mm filters and includes an 82mm Circular Polarizing Filter that increases color saturation and contrast by reducing reflections from non-metallic surfaces and cutting through haze, deepening sky color (Filter Factor Between 2.1 and 2.5 (approx. +1.2 stops)).
