Autofocus is smooth and virtually silent, working with S Series cameras’ high-precision contrast AF and a sensor drive of up to 240 fps for quick, accurate focusing. Built with video in mind, the lens incorporates a mechanism to minimize focus breathing that can affect footage when using still-photo optics for motion work. Weighing approximately 12.7 oz (345 g), it offers true macro performance from 0.25 (at 14mm) to 0.5x (at 28mm) reproduction ratios.
