The Pioneer DMH-C5500NEX is an 8" Double DIN multimedia car stereo that combines smartphone integration, streaming services and robust audio hardware. CEA-2006 compliant power output: Peak: 50 watts x 4 channels, RMS: 22 watts x 4 channels. The unit features an 8" clear resistive WVGA touchscreen and provides CD text information display plus MP3 ID3 Tag display (Title/Artist/Album) for simple navigation of media. Playback from USB supports MP3/WMA/AAC/WAV/FLAC/MPEG-1/MPEG-2/MPEG-4/AVI/DivX/WMV/JPEG. For radio, the AM/FM tuner includes 18 FM and 6 AM presets. Smartphone connectivity includes Apple CarPlay and Android Auto (compatible with Apple iPhone 6/6+ and iOS 8 software) and the receiver supports Spotify® and Pandora® streaming. Audio tuning is handled by a 13-band graphic equalizer with selectable tone curves via Easy EQ; three sets of 4V preamp outputs (front, rear, and subwoofer) allow expanded system setups. Physical connections include a 3.5mm rear A/V auxiliary input and a rear USB input. Built-in Bluetooth supports hands-free calling and audio streaming with multiple Bluetooth profiles; an external wired/built-in microphone is included for clear, low-distortion voice calls with a maximum communication range of approximately 32.8 feet (line of sight). Navigation-capable via phone apps and optional in-dash navigation when paired with the Pioneer AVIC-U280. A remote control is included for convenient operation.
