Overview: The Prime Power Solutions PS150/3PN-S is a UL-recognized Type 1ca surge protective device designed for DIN-rail installation. It achieves a short-circuit current rating (SCCR) of 200kA without requiring any external fuse or circuit breaker and uses a patented thermally protected MOV with an arc-extinguishing element (TPAE technology) for enhanced reliability. The pluggable module design simplifies replacement and includes a visible degradation/failure indication. Certified to UL 1449‑4th and IEC61643-11:2012. Key performance: Provides high surge-handling capacity — nominal discharge current In (8/20µs) of 20kA and maximum discharge current Imax (8/20µs) of 50kA (up to 50kA per mode). Voltage protection ratings are <0.7kV L-N @VPR and <0.9kV N-PE @VPR. Response time is ≤25ns for L-N and ≤100ns for N-PE. The enclosure is thermoplastic with UL94 V-0 flame rating and provides IP20 protection.
