PROXXON AC Adapter NG 5/E – 12V DC Workstation (5.0A, 60 VA)

A compact, electronically controlled workstation built for PROXXON MICROMOT 12 Volt hand tools. The unit is housed in a heat-resistant Noryl casing (recommended for transformers) and uses a thyristor electronic control with feedback to provide precise speed regulation and high torque at low speeds. Electrical data: capacity 5.0A at 16V no load and 12 Volt under load = 60 VA (DC); primary supply 110-120V. Convenience and connectivity include three polarized sockets for MICROMOT machines (allowing up to three tools to be connected simultaneously) plus one pair of standard banana plug sockets with 5/32" diameter (4 mm diameter). A master switch lets you turn the transformer off without unplugging the unit, and a red LED indicates "ready". Overload protection is provided by a PTC (positive temperature coefficient) element; the plugged in machine will not restart automatically after an overload. After the unit has cooled down, briefly unplug the AC wall plug to reset the adapter. The compact design also features storage holes for insert bits and cutters with shafts of 3/32" and 7/64" (2.35 and 3 mm) and a foldable tool rest to keep the MICROMOT tool securely at hand.
