Make sure the battery voltage matches the inverter DC input before connecting. For example, choose a 12V inverter for a 12V battery, and be careful to connect positive and negative poles correctly. Note that the battery used with the inverter can supply more power than the actual consumption of the appliance. Do not use either output wire as a ground. 3. Always connect the inverter directly to the load. Do not place an air switch (circuit breaker) or a leakage protection device between the inverter and the load — inserting such protective devices will not protect the inverter and may cause damage.
