Rainbird Model 7 1-1/2" Inlet Quick Coupling Valve BSP Thread
NPT threads have a 60° angle and have flattened peaks and valleys where as BSP threads have a 55° angle and have rounded peaks and valleys. In most situations that don’t involve high pressure, and irrigation is realitivly low pressure a male NPT fitting can be threaded into a female BSP fitting using Teflon tape to seal. Note that because the male NPT fitting is tapered it will thread a little farther into the straight threaded BSP female fitting. Often used in golf course applications with industrial-strength brass quick-coupling valves for convenient water access in potable and non-potable systems. Rugged, red brass construction for long life and reliable performance Reliable operation with a strong corrosion-resistant stainless steel spring Metal cover for durability
