High-output Rockville DESTROYER 12D1 12" competition car subwoofer built for extreme SPL. Power ratings: Peak 8000 Watts, Program 4000 Watts, CEA Rated RMS 2000 Watts. Impedance: Dual 1-Ohm Voice Coils. Motor & voice coil assembly: Features 3 4-Layer Black Aluminum Voice Coils Wound with Aluminum Wire, proudly made in the USA and rated to withstand high temperatures of 300-350C. The motor uses Triple-Stacked 300 Oz Y35 Magnets (Y35 is a top-grade material and is claimed to outperform many 400 oz magnets). Structure & materials: 1-Piece Chrome T-Yoke with stamped logo improves magnetization, increases BL rating and helps excursion (xmax). The woofer uses the highest grade black adhesive for superior heat resistance, a cast aluminum basket with a black sanded finish for reduced weight and efficiency, plus a high BL magnetic motor gap. Cone & suspension: Black non-pressed paper cone is extra-stiff and thicker than many competitors, reinforced with silver stitching for durability. An extra-thick foam surround delivers clean sound with minimal distortion, and a shiny paper dustcap (paper tolerates higher temperatures than polypropylene) caps the cone. Nomex spider provides superior tear resistance and long-term reliability compared to cotton or poly-cotton spiders. Termination & installation: Large 8 Gauge Chrome-Plated Binding Post Terminals resist oxidation.
