The SE-SLV354A-2S is a PCI-E RS422/RS485 multiport I/O card built around the EXAR-17V354 chipset. It is compliant with PCI Express version 2.0 and compatible with PCIe GEN2.0 (2.5GT/s). The card provides two serial ports with advanced features for reliable communication. The PCI Express x1 interface supports a bus bandwidth of 2.5Gbps and the card can be installed in x1, x2, x4, x8 or x16 PCI Express slots. Robust protection is included—surge protection, optoelectronic isolation protection, and DC-DC protection—so the card performs reliably in demanding environments. Communications support includes RS485 half-duplex and RS422 full-duplex modes, allowing bidirectional data transfer over distances up to 1.2 kilometers.
