Because we carry a large stock of PCBs, the actual board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. Intended use: data recovery or hard drive repair. Many Seagate 2.5" PCBs contain unique ROM data stored in a ROM memory chip; that information is required for the drive to function correctly. The ROM chip or its data must be transferred to the replacement board. If the chip can be physically moved, a local computer technician can usually perform the transplant.
