This listing is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — the drive itself is not included. Because we stock a large quantity of PCBs, the exact board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. These PCBs are intended for hard drive repair and data recovery tasks. Most PCBs hold unique configuration data in a ROM (memory) chip; that data is required for the drive to function correctly. The ROM chip or its contents must be transferred to the replacement board — if the chip can be physically moved, a local computer technician can usually perform the transplant.
