This sale is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) only — the hard drive itself is not included. The exact board you receive may vary slightly from the photo due to our large PCB inventory. This PCB is intended for use in hard drive repair and data recovery. Before purchasing, verify that a replacement PCB will resolve your issue by consulting our hard drive diagnostics guide, and confirm compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Most Seagate PCBs store unique configuration data in a ROM "memory" chip; that information is required for the drive to function correctly. The ROM chip or its data must be transferred to the replacement board. If you cannot perform the transfer yourself, a local computer technician should be able to move the chip. For orders of $60 or more we provide a complimentary adaptation service that includes either transplanting the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
