This sale is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — the drive itself is NOT included. Exact appearance may differ from the photo because we carry a large inventory of compatible PCBs. Designed for use with Seagate ST3000DM001 drives (9YN166-505, CC82, 5011 E), this board is intended for data-recovery and drive-repair work. Before ordering, confirm that replacing the PCB is likely to resolve your problem by following our hard drive diagnostics guide and verifying compatibility with the Donor Matching Guide. Most Seagate PCBs contain unique service parameters stored in a ROM memory chip; that ROM data is required for normal drive operation. The ROM chip itself, or its contents, must be transferred or reprogrammed onto the replacement board. If you cannot perform the transfer, a local computer technician can usually move the chip. For customers who spend $60 or more we include a complimentary adaptation service — either transplanting the ROM chip onto the new PCB or programming the new board with the correct ROM data.
