This sale is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) only — the hard drive is NOT included. Because we maintain a large inventory, the actual PCB shipped may differ slightly from the photo. Intended for HDD repair and data recovery, this replacement board can be used when performing diagnostics or part swaps. Before purchasing, confirm that a PCB swap will address your problem by following our hard drive diagnostics guide, and verify compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Most Seagate PCBs store unique configuration data in a ROM (memory) chip; that ROM data is required for proper drive operation. The ROM chip or its contents must be moved to the replacement board, or the new board must be reprogrammed with the correct ROM data. If the chip can be physically transferred, a local computer technician can typically perform the procedure.
