This listing is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) only — the physical hard drive is not included. Because we stock many PCBs, the exact board shipped may differ slightly from the photo. These boards are intended for data recovery and hard drive repair. Many hard drive PCBs store unique information in the ROM “memory” chip; that data is required for the drive to function correctly. The ROM chip or its contents must be transferred to the replacement board. If the ROM chip can be moved, a local computer technician can typically perform the transplant.
