This sale is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — no hard drive is included. Because we keep a large inventory of PCBs, the exact board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. Intended for hard drive repair and data recovery work, this replacement PCB is useful only when matched and installed correctly. Before purchasing, confirm that swapping the PCB will resolve your issue by following our hard drive diagnostics guide and verify compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Most PCB assemblies store unique calibration and configuration in a ROM "memory" chip; that ROM data is required for the drive to function properly. The ROM chip itself or its data must be transferred to the replacement board. If you cannot perform the transfer, a local computer technician can usually move the ROM chip. For customers spending $60 or more, we include a complimentary adaptation service that either relocates the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprograms the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
