This listing is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — no hard drive is included. Because we stock a large number of PCBs, the exact board you receive may differ slightly from the photos. Intended use: data recovery or repair of compatible Seagate drives. Before purchasing, confirm that a replacement PCB will resolve your issue by following our hard drive diagnostics guide, and verify compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Many PCBs store unique configuration data in a ROM (memory) chip; that information is required for the drive to function correctly. The ROM chip or its contents must be moved or copied to the replacement board. If relocation of the chip is feasible, a local computer technician can typically perform that operation. For orders of $60 or more we include a complimentary adaptation service: we will either transfer the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprogram the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
