This sale includes the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — the hard drive is not included. Because we maintain a large inventory of PCBs, the unit you receive may differ slightly from the photograph. Intended purpose: data recovery and hard drive repair. Most hard drive PCBs contain unique configuration data stored in a ROM memory chip; that data is required for correct drive operation. The ROM chip or its contents must be transferred to the replacement board — if physical chip transfer is possible, a local computer technician can typically perform the task.
