This sale is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — no hard drive is included. Because we maintain a large inventory, the PCB you receive may differ slightly from the photo. This board is intended for hard drive repair and data-recovery work. Before buying, follow our hard drive diagnostics guide to determine whether a replacement PCB will resolve your issue, and check the Donor Matching Guide to confirm compatibility. Many hard drive PCBs contain unique information stored in a ROM "memory" chip which is required for the drive to function correctly. That ROM chip or its data must be transferred to the replacement board. If a chip transplant is possible, a local computer technician can typically perform the transfer. For purchases of $60 or more we include a complimentary adaptation service that will either move the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprogram the replacement board with the proper ROM data.
