This sale is for the hard drive PCB / logic board ONLY — the drive itself is not included. Because we stock many PCBs, the exact board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. Intended use: data recovery or repair of compatible hard drives. Before purchasing, confirm that replacing the PCB will resolve your issue by following our Hard Drive Diagnostics Guide and checking compatibility with the Donor Matching Guide. Important: most hard drive PCBs store unique information in a ROM "memory" chip that is required for the drive to operate correctly. That ROM chip — or the data it contains — must be transferred to the replacement board. If the chip can be moved, a local computer technician can usually perform the transplant. For orders of $60 or more we include a complimentary adaptation service: we will either move the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprogram the new board with the correct ROM data.
