This listing is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — the hard drive itself is not included. Because we stock a large number of PCBs, the board you receive may differ slightly in appearance from the photo. Intended use: data recovery and hard drive repair. Important: many hard drive PCBs contain unique data stored in a ROM "memory" chip that is required for the drive to function properly. The ROM chip — or the data it holds — must be transferred to the replacement board. If the ROM can be physically moved, a local computer technician should be able to perform the transplant. For purchases of $60 or more we provide a complimentary adaptation service, which includes either transplanting the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprogramming the new board with the correct ROM data.
