Item includes ONLY the hard drive PCB (logic board). No drive is supplied. Because we stock large quantities, the PCB you receive may differ slightly from the photo. This board is intended for hard drive repair and data recovery use. To determine whether swapping the PCB will resolve your issue, follow our hard drive diagnostics guide and confirm compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Many hard drive PCBs store unique information in a ROM (memory) chip that is required for proper operation. The ROM chip, or its data, must be transferred to the replacement board. If the chip can be physically transplanted, a local computer technician can typically perform that task. For orders of $60 or more we provide a complimentary adaptation service that includes either moving the ROM chip to the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
