This sale is for the hard drive PCB / logic board only — the drive itself is not included. The PCB you receive may differ slightly from the photo because we stock multiple revisions of the part. Compatible with Seagate ST9500423AS (SATA 2.5) and labeled 9RT143-034, 0006DEM1, 9573 B. Intended purpose: hard drive repair and data recovery. Most hard drive PCBs store unique calibration and firmware data in a ROM memory chip; this ROM data is required for the drive to function properly. The ROM chip itself, or its data, must be migrated to the replacement board. If the chip can be physically transferred, a local computer technician can usually perform that task.
