Durable, vehicle-specific ABS enclosure engineered to mount beneath the dash on the transmission hump of 1976-1995 Jeep CJ7, Scrambler and Wrangler models. The textured Centra-Pod delivers a factory-like look and long-lasting performance. Installation is simple: the pod is secured with two hex-head self-tapping screws and includes a rear concealed wire lead hole for a clean install. All required mounting hardware, poly-fill and assembly instructions are supplied. Compatibility notes: fits most 55-95 CJ and Wrangler models. Some earlier CJ vehicles may not allow placement in front of the shifters; in those cases the pod can often be positioned on the opposite side closer to the driver. With minor modifications the unit can be adapted to older models as well as many trucks and SUVs. If your vehicle has a flat stretch across the transmission hump, the pod can be flipped to use its flat backside. Clearance required: approximately 6 inches of depth and 6 inches of height at the top/center. Designed to accept 6.5" / 5.25" speakers (speakers not included).
