The Sony Alpha a6400 is a compact APS-C-format mirrorless camera designed to support both stills and video work with dependable performance and intuitive operation. Its 24.2MP Exmor CMOS sensor delivers smooth tonal transitions and low-noise images with high sensitivity from ISO 100–32000, and can be expanded to ISO 102400 for very low-light shooting. The sensor’s construction—featuring thin copper wiring, enhanced circuit processing, and an enhanced front-end LSI—improves light-gathering, lowers noise, and speeds readout to aid video capture. Paired with the BIONZ X processor, the sensor enables rapid continuous shooting: up to 11 fps with AF and AE tracking or as fast as 8 fps using the silent shutter. The camera also supports 14-bit RAW output for rich tonal and color gradation.
