Soundstream BX-108Z Digital Bass Reconstruction Processor — Adjustable 27Hz–63Hz Center

The Soundstream BX-108Z is a digital bass reconstruction processor that gives you precise control over low-end response. Its SWEEP control determines the equalizer’s center frequency — selectable from 27Hz up to 63Hz — so you can tune the focus point to suit the music. WIDTH adjusts the bandwidth (Q), narrowing or widening the range of boosted frequencies: a narrow Q targets harmonics immediately around the center frequency, while a wide Q brings in harmonics farther out. OUTPUT VOLTAGE sets the amount of boost applied; although it may be tempting to crank it up to 10V, excessive output can harm your subwoofers, so use caution. Above the EQ controls, the MAX BASS INDICATOR lights provide a visual readout of boost status — bright, continuous illumination means maximum bass enhancement levels have been reached (remember, more isn’t always better). A DASH MOUNT CONTROL is included for convenient level adjustments from the cabin; it can be installed anywhere in the vehicle but is best positioned for easy access from the driver’s seat and controls the output level of the Bass Equalizer.
