Murdoch's Hard Sealer is Sutherland Welle's most versatile and popular finish, offering a range of sheens from satin to gloss depending on the number of coats applied. The combination of urethane alkyd, Polymerized Tung Oil, and a blend of petroleum-based Di-Citrusol solvents enhances the grain definition in the wood and provides a durable, beautiful finish. Murdoch's Hard Sealer can be used as a primer for Murdoch's Hard Oil, Table Top, and Uralkyd 500 Floor Finish topcoats, or as a stand-alone finish. This finish is suitable for a variety of interior surfaces, including ceilings, beams, mantels, furniture, built-ins, drums, musical instruments, doors, walls, trim, cabinets, porous stone, timber frames, and wood turning. When used with the Table Top topcoat, Murdoch's Hard Sealer is suitable for food-grade counters and bar tops. The finish is affected by variables such as wood species, application method, weather conditions, temperature changes during the curing process, and humidity.
