Purpose-built for alarm and security installations, this Syston 16/2, 500 ft cable features 100% solid bare copper conductors (16 AWG) and an aluminum foil shield to maintain reliable signal integrity. It’s suitable for a wide range of systems including fire protective signaling circuits, smoke detectors, strobes/sirens, pull stations, voice communications, burglar alarms, audio, control, initiating & notification circuits, and microprocessor/addressable controlled systems. The foil shield blocks electromagnetic interference (EMI), keeping transmissions clean and reducing distortion over the run. Rated FPLP/CL3P/FT6/CMP for plenum use, this cable meets higher flame-retardant standards and is designed for placement in building plenums and air-handling spaces; CMP provides greater protection than CMR (commercial) and CM (general-purpose) cable.
