Teach Tech™ HydroBot Arm Kit — Entry-Level Hydraulic STEM Robotic Arm
Introduce young builders to hydraulics with the TEACH TECH™ HydroBot Arm Kit, a water-powered robotic arm that requires no batteries and is driven manually. The kit uses lever controllers equipped with a special braking system for precise, fine movements and allows the gripper to be removed and swapped for suction components to pick up smooth-surfaced objects weighing no greater than 50 grams (1.75 oz.). Clear, illustrated instructions guide users through assembly and operation so they can manipulate the Robotic Arm across all 6 axis. Motion specifications: gripper open/close gap up to a maximum 47 mm (1.89 in.), wrist joint rotation of 180 degrees, wrist joint mobility of 98 degrees, elbow joint range of 44 degrees, base rotation of 270 degrees, and shoulder joint motion of 45 degrees. Reach and capacity: vertical reach of 16.35 inches, horizontal reach of 12.42 inches, with a lifting capacity of 50 grams. Part of TEACH TECH™’s Learn by Doing® series, this kit combines hands-on building with lessons in renewable energy and coding—appealing to kids who enjoy tinkering, movement, and exploring solar, hydraulic, or wind power. Best suited for kids and children 12 and up.
