These are passive speakers that connect directly to a home audio receiver or amplifier using raw speaker wire outputs. The compact, paintable ABS grills and housings allow the speakers to match your decor. Audio performance is provided by an angled full-range 2-way design: 15 Degree angled 8" interlaced glass fiber cone woofers with butyl rubber surrounds paired with pivoting silk dome tweeters. A 2nd order 18dB per octave crossover separates frequencies, producing a frequency response of 25Hz-21 kHz and a sensitivity of 97dB at 8ohm. Installation is straightforward with a pressure lock mounting system that clamps securely to drywall. Each speaker requires a round speaker hole size of 10.375", a mounting depth of 6", and has an overall diameter of 11.375". Connections are spring-loaded raw wire terminals for quick hookup, and the housings/grills are built from durable ABS and can be painted. System requirements: any home audio receiver or amp with raw speaker wire outputs. Recommended amplifier power per channel is no less than 10 and no more than 400 watts.
