What types of pens or markers can be used for these lockout tagout tags? Each LOTO tag is made of PVC Vinyl, which means ordinary pens will not work on its surface. The recommended types of pens are permanent markers, grease/wax pencils, and paint markers among others. 2. Is it possible to erase the notations made on these lockout tags? It depends on the writing material used. Grease/wax pencils are easily erasable. However, permanent or paint markers may require a special type of solvent like acetone or paint thinner, which is not recommended because it may damage the lock out tag. 3. Can these tags be used outside a facility, where it may be exposed to rain or extreme heat? Yes. These LOTO safety tags are weatherproof and waterproof. Each is made of premium PVC Vinyl, which is extremely resistant to moisture and humidity. 4. Do these tags meet the 50lbs pull strength as required by OSHA 1910.147(c)(5)(ii)(c)(2)?
