The Tripp Lite SmartPro LCD line-interactive tower UPS combines Automatic Voltage Regulation (AVR), surge suppression and battery backup to keep systems running and prevent data loss, interrupted viewing, missed recordings and erased component programming. Internal UPS circuits are sized to support entry-level PCs or individual VCR/DVR components through brief outages. AVR continuously corrects brownouts and overvoltages from 92V to 150V back to usable levels while preserving a full battery charge. The unit’s all-black cabinet houses eight built-in outlets — four provide full battery backup plus surge suppression for critical devices, and four are surge-suppression-only for peripherals that don’t require battery support. Communications and remote shutdown are handled via the built-in USB port and included cable; the HID-compliant USB interface allows seamless integration with native power-management and auto-shutdown features in Windows and Mac OS X for unattended safe shutdown during extended outages. Dataline surge suppression jacks protect a single-line dialup/DSL or network Ethernet connection. User-friendly status and diagnostics are presented on a large LCD front panel with icon-based indicators and numeric readouts showing input voltage, output voltage, frequency, load percentage, load watts, battery voltage and runtime in minutes. Built-in audible alarm provides additional fault and status notifications. With 1300VA/720W capacity, this UPS supports entry-level PCs, home A/V components and network workstations.
