Overview: The Vantrue Nexus 4 (N4) is a three-channel dash camera that records the front, inside and rear of your vehicle simultaneously. It features a 155° front lens, a 165° interior lens and a 160° rear lens and records audio in a 1440P + 1440P + 1080P configuration. A free GPS player with zoom-in lets you review high-resolution footage and read license plates clearly. Recording Modes: In front-and-rear dual mode the front camera captures 4K (2160P) while the rear records 1080P. The rear camera uses a 20ft extension cable and can rotate up to 360° for flexible mounting in cars, SUVs, jeeps and trucks. When the front camera is used solo it can record at full 4K for maximum detail. For front-and-inside monitoring, set the N4 to 1440P + 1440P to cover the road ahead and the vehicle cabin. Optics & Low-Light Performance: The front sensor is a STARVIS CMOS paired with an F1.4 6-glass lens and the rear uses an F1.8 6-glass lens. The system adjusts exposure automatically in low light. Four IR LED lights illuminate the cabin so driver and passenger activity is visible even in complete darkness — a useful feature for rideshare drivers. Parking & Power Options: The N4 supports a 24 hours parking mode. In low-bitrate continuous parking it records for extended periods by lowering video quality. Motion-detection and collision-triggered parking modes will start recording when movement or impact is detected. For full parking surveillance the camera should be wired to a hardwire kit (sold separately) or an external battery. Durability: Built around a super capacitor, the Nexus 4 withstands extreme temperatures from 14°F to 158°F and avoids the shorter lifespan issues of lithium-ion batteries. Safety & Storage Features: A variable-sensitivity G-sensor detects sharp impacts or shakes and automatically locks event footage into an emergency folder. Loop recording overwrites the oldest files when the card is full. The unit also features auto LCD off to prevent driver distraction.
