Professional Blue Smart IP22 12VDC 15A Charger with built-in Bluetooth for dry-mount installation. Designed for workshop use and mobile applications, this Victron Energy unit is suitable for (classic) cars, motorbikes, boats and camper-vans. Wireless monitoring and updates: Built-in Bluetooth lets you view voltage and current, change charging parameters and receive firmware updates from your phone or tablet. High efficiency and low standby consumption: Up to 94% efficient, the charger produces far less heat than typical units. When the battery reaches full charge the power draw falls to just 0,5 Watt. Adaptive 6-stage charging: Microprocessor-controlled charging adapts to battery usage with the following cycle: TEST - BULK - ABSORPTION - RECONDITION - FLOAT - STORAGE. Storage mode for reduced aging: If a battery is not discharged for 24 hours, the charger switches to storage mode and lowers float voltage to 2,2V/cell (13,2V for a 12V battery) to minimize gassing and plate corrosion. Once per week the voltage returns to absorption level to equalize the battery and prevent electrolyte stratification and sulfation. Lithium compatibility and recovery: Supports Li-ion batteries using a bulk – absorption – float profile. The unit also features a recovery function that can start charging a battery at zero volts and reconnect a fully discharged Li-ion battery with an internal disconnect. Quiet operation modes: NIGHT and LOW settings limit output to a maximum of 50% of nominal current and make the charger noiseless. NIGHT mode ends automatically after 8 hours; LOW mode must be turned off manually. Thermal protection: Output current is reduced as ambient temperature rises up to 50°C to prevent failure. Status and controls: Eleven LEDs indicate charger status (TEST / BULK / ABSORPTION / RECONDITION / FLOAT / STORAGE / READY).
