This sale is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — no hard drive is included. Part is for the WD1600HLFS-60G6U0 (2061-701543-500 AC) WD SATA 2.5. Because we stock a large quantity of PCBs, the actual board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. Intended use: hard drive repair and data recovery. To confirm a replacement board will resolve your issue, please run our hard drive diagnostics guide and verify compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Important: most WD PCBs include a unique ROM "memory" chip that stores essential drive parameters. That ROM data must be preserved or transferred to the replacement board for the drive to operate correctly. If the ROM chip can be physically moved, a local computer technician can usually perform the transplant. For orders of $60 or more we provide complimentary adaptation service — we will either move the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprogram the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
