Product is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — no hard drive, platters, or enclosure are included. Because we stock large quantities of PCBs, the exact board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. This PCB is supplied for hard drive repair and data recovery purposes. Prior to purchasing, confirm that replacing the PCB will resolve your issue by following our hard drive diagnostics guide, and verify compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Most PCBs contain unique information stored in a ROM "memory" chip; that data is required for the drive to function correctly. The ROM chip (or its contents) must be transferred or programmed onto the replacement board. If the ROM can be moved, a local computer technician can usually perform the transplant. For customers spending $60 or more, we include a complimentary adaptation service — either transferring the ROM chip to the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
