This sale includes only the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board). No hard drive is included. Because we stock a large number of PCBs, the exact board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. Intended use: data recovery and HDD repair. Prior to purchase, use our hard drive diagnostics guide to confirm a replacement PCB will resolve your issue, and verify compatibility with the Donor Matching Guide. Important: most drive PCBs contain unique configuration data stored in a ROM "memory" chip; that information is required for the drive to function correctly. The ROM chip itself, or its saved data, must be transferred to the replacement board. If the chip can be physically moved, a local computer technician should be able to perform the transfer. For orders of $60 or more we include a complimentary adaptation service — either transplanting the ROM chip to the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
