This listing is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — no hard drive is included. We stock a large number of these PCBs, so the actual board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. This PCB is intended for hard drive repair or data recovery use. Before ordering, confirm that replacing the PCB will resolve your problem by following our hard drive diagnostics guide, and verify part compatibility with the Donor Matching Guide. Most hard drive PCBs store unique, required data in a ROM "memory" chip; that ROM or its contents must be transferred to the replacement board for the drive to function correctly. If relocation of the ROM chip is possible, a local computer technician can usually perform the transplant. For purchases of $60 or more we include a complimentary adaptation service that either moves the ROM chip to the new PCB or reprograms the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
