This listing is for a hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — no hard drive included. Because we maintain a large inventory, the actual PCB you receive may vary slightly from the photo. The board is supplied for hard drive repair and data recovery purposes. Many hard drive PCBs contain unique information stored in a ROM "memory" chip that is essential for proper operation; the ROM chip or its data must be copied or transferred to the replacement board. If the chip can be moved, a local computer technician should be able to perform the transfer. For purchases of $60 or more we include a complimentary adaptation service, which covers either transplanting the ROM chip onto the new PCB or programming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
