This listing is for the hard drive printed circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — no hard drive is included. Because we stock a large number of boards, the actual PCB shipped may differ slightly from the photo. Intended use: hard drive repair and data recovery. To confirm a replacement PCB will fix your drive, please run our Hard Drive Diagnostics Guide and verify part compatibility with the Donor Matching Guide. Note: many WD PCBs contain unique configuration data stored in a ROM memory chip that is required for the drive to operate properly. The ROM chip or its contents must be transferred to the replacement board. If the ROM chip can be moved, a local computer technician should be able to perform the transplant. For orders of $60 or more we include a complimentary adaptation service — either transferring the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprogramming the board with the correct ROM data.
