This sale includes the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — no hard drive is included. Because we maintain a large inventory, the PCB you receive may differ slightly from the photo. This board is intended for hard drive repair and data recovery tasks. To confirm a replacement PCB will resolve your issue, follow our hard drive diagnostics guide and verify compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Most hard drive PCBs store unique, required information in a ROM (memory) chip; that ROM data is mandatory for proper drive operation. The ROM chip itself or its data must be transferred to the replacement board—if transplanting the chip is feasible, a local computer technician can usually perform the swap. For purchases of $60 or more we provide complimentary adaptation service, which includes either moving the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
