This listing is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — no hard drive is included. We have a large quantity of PCBs in stock, so the physical board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. Intended use: hard drive repair or data recovery. Before purchasing, follow our hard drive diagnostics guide to confirm a replacement PCB will resolve your problem, and review the Donor Matching Guide to verify compatibility. Important: most WD PCBs contain unique information stored in the ROM ("memory") chip that is required for proper drive operation. That ROM chip or its data must be transferred to the replacement board. If the ROM chip can be physically moved, a local computer technician can usually perform the transplant. For orders of $60 or more we include a complimentary adaptation service that either moves the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprograms the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
