This listing is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — no hard drive is included. Because we stock a large number of boards, the actual PCB you receive may differ slightly from the photo. These replacement PCBs are intended for hard drive repair and data-recovery work. Before purchasing, confirm that a PCB swap will solve your issue by following our hard drive diagnostics guide, and verify compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Most HDD PCBs store unique calibration and service data in a ROM (“memory”) chip; that ROM data is required for proper operation and must be transferred or restored on the replacement board. If the ROM chip can be physically moved, a local computer technician can usually perform the transplant. For customers spending $60 or more, we include a complimentary adaptation service that will either transplant the ROM chip to the new PCB or reprogram the new board with the correct ROM data.
