This sale is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — no hard drive is included. Because we stock a large number of these PCBs, the exact board you receive may vary slightly from the photo. Intended for use in hard drive repair and data recovery, this PCB should be used only after confirming that a replacement will address your drive’s problem. Please use our hard drive diagnostics guide to determine if a PCB swap is appropriate, and check compatibility with the Donor Matching Guide. Most hard drive PCBs contain unique configuration data stored in a ROM "memory" chip; that information is required for proper operation. The ROM chip itself, or its data, must be transferred to the replacement board. If the ROM chip can be transplanted, a local computer technician can usually perform the procedure. For customers with orders of $60 or more, we include a complimentary adaptation service that will either move the ROM chip to the new PCB or reprogram the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
