Product is the hard drive printed circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — hard drive is not included. Because we stock large quantities, the actual PCB you receive may differ slightly from the photo. This board is supplied for hard drive repair and data recovery work. Before buying, confirm that a replacement PCB will fix your drive by following our hard drive diagnostics guide, and verify compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Most hard drive PCBs store unique adapter data in a ROM "memory" chip; that ROM data is required for the drive to operate correctly and must be transferred or restored on the replacement board. If the ROM chip can be moved, a local computer technician should be able to transplant it. For orders of $60 or more we provide a complimentary adaptation service that includes either moving the ROM chip to the replacement PCB or reprogramming the new circuit board with the correct ROM data.
