This listing is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — no hard drive is included. Because we stock a large number of PCBs, the unit you receive may vary slightly from the photo. The board is supplied for hard drive repair and data recovery uses. Before purchasing, confirm that a PCB swap will address your problem by following our hard drive diagnostics guide and check compatibility with the Donor Matching Guide. Most hard drive PCBs store unique ROM "memory" data that is required for normal operation; either the ROM chip or its data must be transferred to the replacement board. If the ROM chip can be moved, a local computer technician can usually perform that task. For customers with orders of $60 or more we provide a complimentary adaptation service, which includes either relocating the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
