Part offered is the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — no hard drive is included. Stock is large, so the actual PCB you receive may differ slightly in appearance from the photo. This board is intended for hard drive repair or data-recovery use. To confirm that replacing the PCB will resolve your issue, follow our hard drive diagnostics guide and verify compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Many of these PCBs store unique calibration and service data in a ROM "memory" chip; that information is required for correct drive operation. The ROM chip itself, or its data, must be transferred to the replacement board. If physical transplant is possible, a local computer technician can usually perform the chip move. For purchases of $60 or more we include complimentary adaptation service — either transplanting the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
