This sale is for the hard drive PCB (logic board) ONLY — no hard drive is included. Because we stock a large number of PCBs, the actual board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. These circuit boards are intended for hard drive repair and data recovery tasks. To confirm a replacement PCB will resolve your issue, please consult our hard drive diagnostics guide. Verify compatibility first by reviewing the Donor Matching Guide. Note: most hard drive circuit boards store unique data in the ROM "memory" chip; that information is required for the drive to operate correctly. The ROM chip or its contents must be transferred to the replacement board. If the chip can be physically moved, a local computer technician should be able to perform the transfer. For orders of $60 or more, we provide a complimentary adaptation service that includes either transplanting the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
